Autumn:
The cool, comfortable weather of autumn in Boyne Island provides a perfect backdrop for a variety of outdoor sports and events. The Boyne Tannum Running Festival is held in June every year and features 3 and 10-kilometer running tracks that take in some of the stunning scenery the region has to offer.
If running isn't your thing, perhaps a round of golf at the Boyne Island Golf Club would tickle your fancy. The club runs a variety of competitions throughout the year, including both 9 and 18-hole golf.
Winter:
Crisp air and sunny days of winter make for great outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and cycling. The nearby Boyne Valley is home to several picturesque hiking trails, including Kroombit Tops National Park and Boyne Island Coastal Walk.
When it comes to events, the Agnes Blues, Roots, and Rock Festival in February is worth a visit, offering three days of live music, craft markets, and food stalls.
Spring:
Springtime in Boyne Island heralds the approach of warm weather, and with it come a variety of exciting events. The Boyne Tannum Rotary Charity Markets, held on the second Sunday of each month, are a must-visit destination with hundreds of stalls featuring everything from handmade crafts to gourmet food and fresh produce.
For flower enthusiasts, the Gladstone Orchid & Foliage Society Annual Show in September showcases the best the region has to offer with a variety of orchids, cacti, succulents, and other exotic plants on display.
